Amabere Ganyinamwiru

Located 7 km from Fort Portal, Amabere Ganyinamwiru is a famous tourist spot that has attracted tourists from all walks of life. These are basically limestone rocks that are known as stalagmites and stalactites and are a great scenic feature in the region. Visit these caves that expose you to the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru waterfalls and the surrounding areas.

Kingdom palace tour

Also known as Karuzika palace, Kingdom Palace is situated at Karuzika Hill that overlooks the Fort Portal town. Renovated in 2001, this palace is one of those scenic buildings which lend a 360 degree panoramic view of the entire town of Fort portal. The Tooro palace is still home to the current King Tooro, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV who has been the cultural leader of Toro kingdom since 1995.

Kibale forest national park

Kibale National Park is an extensive park which protects a large block of rainforest offering some excellent bird watching experience. The park is one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. Lake Albert

Best Time To Visit Fort Portal

The best time to visit Fort Portal is from the month of January and February, July and December. The temperature remains warm and pleasant during this time and attracts tourists during these months. The highest temperature that has been recorded is 33 degrees in February and 25 degrees in May that has been the lowest.

Via Air: Entebbe international airport is the main international airport at Kampala that is connecting Fort Portal to the rest of the world. One can get a bus or cabs to continue the further journey.
