Planning a Trip to Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is home to abundance of chimpanzees and is the best place to go for chimpanzee tracking. The park is the best tracking location in the whole of East Africa and attracts tourists from all walks of life. This activity takes place for about one hour where you can track these giant creatures and get to know more about their natural habitat. You will be escorted by professional guides who will share knowledge about the activity as well as the park.

Chimpanzee habituation experience is an interesting activity where you get to entire day with the chimps. It is an all day experience where you will spend some time interacting with the chimps and get to know about their natural environment. This activity starts early in the morning and lasts all day long with experienced guides along with you. Apart from the chimpanzees you can also spot other primates such as birds, butterflies, trees and other mammals.

For those children who are under the age of 15 are not allowed to go for chimpanzee tracking. For them there are plenty of kid friendly things to do that will keep the kids enthralled all day long. You will be guided by friendly rangers who will show the kids the wonders of the forest, show them the abundance wildlife, plants, birds, trees and monkeys. Children can indulge in Bush craft activity and class where they will not be able to miss exploring the Kibale forest.

Kibale National Park offers plenty of nature walk tours where visitors can explore the forest on foot. There are various hikes in and near the park where you can get a different aspects of Kibale Forest and its surrounding area. You can traverse through various length of the park and each night you can choose to sleep in a different area outside the park. While on your hiking tour you can see varied habitats such as rivers, swamps, grassland and tropical rainforest which constitute the Kibale national park.

When in Kibale national park you can choose to go for a nocturnal forest walk that takes place at night inside the park. After dinner, you can set out on a nocturnal forest walk tour where you are guaranteed to see other species inside the forest. You will be guided by Uganda wildlife rangers equipped with spotlights so that you can witness the animals from a closer view. You can spot animals like Pottos, bush babies, tree pangolins and other nocturnal animals while on your walking tour.
