Kaokoland is a remote region of Namibia that can be accessed via air or land. Anyhow public transport is not available to travel on land.
Via air; Hosea Kutako International Airport is the international airport at Windhoek city has the nearest airport that is connected to Kaokoland with charter flights. The flights are part of fly-around safari tour booked prior to the visit.
Via land; self-driving is not recommended when you are travelling in and around Kaokoland. Cabs can be hired with guides to explore the region.
