Murchison Falls National Park is locally known as Kabalega National Park which is located at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley and is Uganda’s oldest and largest safari park. The national park is located 305km north of Kampala in Masindi District and can be easily accessed by road and flight. Murchison was first gazetted as a wildlife reserve in 1926 and has attracted many tourists from all walks of life since then. This national park in Uganda is home to 76 various mammal species and 451 bird species making it one of the famous wildlife safari destination in Uganda. How to Reach Murchison Falls Uganda

People who are travelling from abroad have to reach at Entebbe International Airport which is about 26 km from the capital city of Uganda, Kampala. From there it is a 5 hours drive to reach Murchison Falls national park. There are numerous public transport buses that take you to Masindi which is the nearest town to park and from there you can take a car that will take you directly to the national park. You can also choose to take charter flights which are easily available. There are few airstrips near the park that accommodates these flights.
