Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is nestled on the southwestern edge of the Rift valley in Uganda. The rich biodiversity of the region aids on Tourism in Uganda. With the mist covering the peaks and the abundance of lush greenery makes this oldest national park the best and the most biodiversity rainforest of Uganda. The forest region of Bwindi ages back to 25,000 years housing an abundance of wildlife and some of the endemic and rare species. Best Time To Visit Bwindi National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a year-round destination that can be explored throughout the year, especially for Gorilla tracking tour. However, the dry season is mostly preferred for a tour as the low humidity, pleasant climate and accessible routes makes the time best to visit Bwindi National Park.

Season from December to February and June to September is the best time when you plan a gorilla tracking tour here. The wet seasons are not much preferred as hiking can get difficult due to slippery lands and long hour of rains can hamper the plan.

How to Reach Bwindi National Park

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is not well connected with a mode of good or direct transport. One needs to interchange and experience a long journey to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Via Air; Entebbe International Airport is the nearest airport to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda that is connected via charter flights. You can get the flights from Entebbe or Kampala airstrip to Kisoro airstrip to reach the destination. Bwindi has 3 or 4 airfields at Kihihi plus Kayonza,  Mishaya, Nshongi and Nkuringo.

Via Land; with a distance of 520kms, Kampala is connected to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the road that takes around 5 hours of journey. There are other routes from Lake Mburo national or Queen Elizabeth national park to reach the destination.
